I was born and raised in in Manhattan's East Village. After residing on the Upper East side for 14 years, I and my husband Heath lived in Rye, NY for 22 years.
In 2018, we moved up to High Falls, NY, to property my parents have owned since 1968.
I began drawing and painting at an early age due to the fact that my mother was an illustrator and painter who encouraged my artistic development. After attending the High School of Art and Design, I studied illustration and painting at Parsons School of Design, as well as taking courses at The School of Visual Arts, The National Academy of Design, and a semester at Instituto Allende, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. In addition to creating fine art, I worked for J Crew for 17 years designing textile prints.
My work has been shown in several exhibitions throughout the US, and many works are owned privately.
I work in a variety of media from oils and watercolors, to pencil, colored pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal.
My subject matter includes landscapes, figures and still life. Landscapes range from rural NY, the Sound Shore area of NY-CT, as well as Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Florida and Hawaii.
My goal in painting is to distill my feelings about a particular subject into a picture that will convey them to the painting's viewer, and hopefully evoke those same feelings; while exploring the use of color and composition.
I love the process of putting paint on canvas and the beautiful effects it can create.
I might be captivated by the shadows on a building; the reflections in wet sand; the intense blue of the ocean; or a person's face- everything is fair game.
I am more than happy to do a painting just for you; from your own photos if I cannot take my own. If you have a favorite place, or if you want me to paint your house or loved one, I will do my very best- my only goal is to make you happy.
STUDIO VISITS? Let me know if you would like to arrange a studio visit so you can see the work in person. I am located about 90 miles North of NYC; at the base of the beautiful Shawangunk mountains.
I accept Pay Pal, Venmo, Zelle, and Credit Cards using Square. If you prefer other methods, let me know
For the second year in a row I have been accepted into the prestigious Under The Oaks Fine Art and Craft Show, which will take place in Vero Beach Florida. This highly regarded show attracts upwards of 60,000 visitors in its 3 days. I will be showing new paintings in the Oils category, along with some old favorites. Mark your calendars!

For all framed works, add about 6" to each measurement.- I cut my own mats using solid Museum Board; and usually at least 2" wide. If you prefer wider mats, LET ME KNOW. I I frame most of my works on paper with Ambiance brand frames, which come in a variety of wood tones. They are affordable and attractive for matted work. For works on canvas, I use 3" Plein Air or Deco style frames. SHIPPING- ALL SHIPPING COSTS ARE ACTUAL, calculated after I pack the artwork. I use USPS PRIORITY, but I will ship any way you prefer. If you are in the High Falls, Stone Ridge or Kingston area, I can deliver to you at no charge!
